What makes a youth mental health service truly accessible, welcoming and youth-friendly? And how can we make sure these principles are consistently put into practice? These are the questions of the DELPHI-YEAH study, a study within the YOUTHreach project, led by our researchers at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. YEAHs (studied in YOUTHreach) are low-threshold walk-in centres where young people can easily get support for mental health issues. In this Delphi study on our Fidelity Scale we aim to find out what these kinds of centres should include and what users and healthcare professionals expect appropriate care to look like.
We are looking for two groups of experts. Both perspectives are essential to developing an instrument that is meaningful, relevant and grounded in practice.
Professional experts
We are looking for people aged 25 or older who have at least two years of experience in youth mental health or Integrated Youth Mental Health Services (IYMHS). Read our flyer for more information and click here if you are interested:
Experience experts
We are also looking for young people aged 16–25 who have personal experience with mental health support or treatment. Your experiences can provide an important perspective on what makes a mental health service genuinely accessible, welcoming and useful for young people.

The Delphi study takes place through several online rounds. In each round, participants will be asked to rate the relevance of different statements in the draft instrument. There will also be opportunities to provide comments and feedback. The aim is to gradually refine the instrument and reach agreement among the different groups of experts.
We are looking for 30 professional experts and 30 experience experts. Recruitment will take place until the required number of participants has been reached, so it may take some time to hear back from the study team. Questions? Contact us!
