We held two MAG sessions towards the end of 2025. These sessions focused on helping us understand the different mental healthcare systems across countries within the YOUTHreach consortium. Across the two meetings, we gathered valuable input from a wide range of individuals, including mental health professionals, peer support workers, and parents/carers, representing Italy, Ireland, Spain, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. In addition to the live sessions, we received lots of thoughtful input offline via an online form. This included feedback from all the countries above, as well as Denmark and Estonia. We also held separate individual meetings with consortium members to explore their national mental healthcare systems in more depth. These perspectives have really helped us better understand how structures, access, and support vary across countries.
While at the Annual Consortium Meeting in Barcelona, we invited consortium members to complete our Delphi survey. This survey listed barriers and facilitators previously identified during meetings and asked participants to rate their level of agreement with each statement. As part of the Delphi process, we’ll be feeding these responses back to our MAG as another round to help build consensus.
Looking ahead, our next MAG meetings will be taking place in mid to late March. There’s also some very exciting work happening around systems mapping and pathways to care, and we’re really looking forward to sharing those outcomes soon.
Finally, we just want to say a huge thank you to all our MAG members for their continued engagement and enthusiasm, and to everyone in the consortium who has offered their time and support. We genuinely couldn’t do this work without you!
