Claudi Bockting is a professor of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry at the department of Psychiatry in Amsterdam University Medical Center (UMC) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and works also as a licensed clinical psychologist. Her research focuses on identifying factors that can be targeted with innovative interventions, incorporating technology, to prevent or treat depression, anxiety and suicidality. To this end she has developed several digital interventions (e.g., SELFIE, StayFine, Blended, Act and Feel, Virtual-Reality-Moodboost) whose effects have been demonstrated on various randomized controlled trials. She is also the developer of Preventive Cognitve Therapy (PTC), an extensively researched method to prevent depression relapse for a period ranging from 2 to 20 years.
