Dr. Dorothee Horstkötter is an ethicist and philosopher. Her research focuses on the ethical aspects of mental health and neuroscience. In particularly, she is interested in the context of youth mental health care and current digitalization efforts. Key-terms of her research are respect for (relational) autonomy, caring relationships, trust, responsibility, well-being, protection against harm, undue surveillance, or inequity.

As an integral part of YOUTHreach’s attention to youth and stakeholder engagement our normative and empirical ethical research will investigate the context and country specific ethical implications of the three digital and face-to-face interventions at the heart of YOUTHreach and identify and tackle emerging ethical questions.
